Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of HR functions, including onboarding, new hire orientation, background checks, drug testing, and general clerical support. Assists with special projects and departmental tasks as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage onboarding and I-9 verification (E-Verify)
  • Prepare and conduct New Hire Orientation
  • Maintain personnel, payroll, and benefits files
  • Assist with background checks and drug testing
  • Process Changes of Status and UAF forms
  • Scan HR documents into Laserfiche
  • Respond to employee service inquiries and distribute faxes
  • Support HR initiatives, events, and special projects
  • Order and manage office supplies
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of HR records
  • Perform periodic HR file audits
  • Liaise with benefits providers and vendors
  • Assist with payroll functions as needed
  • Help coordinate HR events (e.g., open enrollment, employee recognition)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s degree in a related field is required
  • Prior office or HR experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of desk work
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
