Job Description

Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. This role ensures the efficient and effective operation of the warehouse, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and managing performance.
  • Plan and coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and perform regular audits.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, and ensure accurate record-keeping of all warehouse transactions.
  • Develop and implement workflows to optimize layout and storage solutions, minimizing waste and maximizing space utilization.
  • Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly documented and meet quality standards.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and generate reports as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures.
  • Improve warehouse processes for better efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with other departments for timely order fulfillment.
  • Resolve issues or discrepancies in operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Knowledge of food safety and plant safety requirements.
  • Proven Supervisory or Team Lead experience in food manufacturing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • English/Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Lean training preferred.
