Job Description

Mission:
The Product Manager will play a critical role in bridging the gap between stakeholders, technical teams, and Agile processes to deliver data catalog solutions aligned with data governance objectives for a leading AI office within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) . This role focuses on enhancing data discoverability, accessibility, quality, and lineage through secure, scalable, and user-centric solutions.
As a key liaison, the Product Manager will gather and prioritize requirements, translate them into actionable roadmaps, and ensure successful technical implementation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as data engineers, analysts, and UX/UI designers, is central to delivering solutions that meet client needs. This position requires a proactive individual with strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to drive the evolution of enterprise-wide data governance solutions.

The role is based in Washington DC, Virginia, or Maryland , with consideration for candidates in other EST time zone locations .

What You Will Do:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements for data catalog and metadata management solutions.
  • Develop and maintain an actionable product roadmap to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly data catalog capabilities.
  • Act as the bridge between data governance teams , technical teams (data engineers, architects), and business stakeholders to align priorities and ensure successful implementation.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of solutions that enhance data discoverability, accessibility, quality, and lineage .
  • Drive the adoption of Agile frameworks to plan, track, and iterate on development, ensuring timely delivery of product milestones.
  • Work with UX/UI designers to develop intuitive user interfaces for self-service catalog and governance tools.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate metadata management, automate data lineage tracking, and improve catalog usability.
  • Define and monitor key performance metrics to measure the success of product implementation and adoption.
  • Facilitate ongoing stakeholder engagement through regular communication, product demonstrations, and user feedback sessions.
  • Ensure alignment of product goals with DoD security and compliance requirements.
What We Look For:
  • Active DoD Secret-level security clearance required .
  • 2+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on delivering software solutions using Agile frameworks .
  • Experience gathering, prioritizing, and managing technical and business requirements.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of data governance, metadata management , and data catalog solutions.
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration.
Great If You Have:
  • Familiarity with data catalog platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, or Informatica) and experience managing metadata and data lineage .
  • Proficiency in Databricks or similar enterprise architecture and analytics platforms.
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and UX/UI designers, to deliver user-centric solutions.
  • Exposure to cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their role in modern data architectures.
  • Experience supporting DoD or other federal agency programs, especially those involving data governance.
Pay Range and Benefits:
IntelliTech is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is $105,000 – $135,000 and represents a base salary range. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, IntelliTech utilizes the full width of the range.
