Job Overview:

The Sales Assistant will support the National Sales Manager in overseeing a team of 1099 sales representatives. This position is crucial for ensuring the efficiency of sales operations, facilitating communication, and backing the overall sales strategy. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Support : Assist the National Sales Manager in managing the activities of 1099 sales representatives, including preparing sales reports, tracking performance metrics, and maintaining organized sales files.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding : Support the recruitment process of 1099 new sales representatives, including scheduling interviews, managing communications, and assisting with onboarding processes.
  • Training Coordination : Help coordinate training sessions and workshops for sales reps, ensuring they have the tools and resources to succeed. Maintain training materials and track participant engagement.
  • Communication Liaison : Serve as a primary point of contact for 1099 sales reps, addressing their inquiries, facilitating communication with the National Sales Manager, and ensuring they receive timely updates.
  • Lead Management : Help generate and qualify sales leads. Track lead progress with sales reps and support follow-up activities to maximize conversions.
  • Reporting and Analytics : Compile and analyze performance data from sales reps to generate reports for the National Sales Manager, providing insights on trends, successes, and areas for improvement.
  • Administrative Support : Perform general administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining databases of sales activities and contacts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales and Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in sales support, administrative roles, or working with independent sales representatives is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software, ERP or database system. Experience in report creation within ERP system is a plus. Provide examples of work from Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with sales reps and internal teams.
  • A self-motivated, self-starter individual with a proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
