Title: IT Business Architect

Location: Remote (EST Preferred)

Duration: : 6 Months of contract with possibility of extension

What the Client is Looking For

Client is seeking two IT Business Architects for a remote role to support their business architecture initiatives. The client is looking for candidates with the following:

Core Skills and Experience:

Business Architecture Expertise: Proven experience in business architecture, including developing business capability maps, value streams, and roadmaps to align strategy with execution.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to interpret and contextualize strategy for operational needs, drive rationalization of systems/applications, and align technology roadmaps with enterprise business capability frameworks.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to assess business capabilities, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend solutions for complex business challenges.

Relationship Building: Capability to establish effective relationships across the organization, influence diverse stakeholders, and collaborate with technology squads, product owners, and senior leadership.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with technology portfolio management, governance, and integrating technology with business strategy. Experience with agile methodologies, value stream mapping, and tools like Jira is a plus.

Communication : Ability to convey complex information clearly to both technical and business leaders.

Tools Proficiency : Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with MS Suite is critical.

Certifications: Six Sigma, Agile, or Project Management certifications are preferred.

Industry Preference:

Insurance Industry Experience: While not mandatory, prior experience in the insurance sector is a significant advantage.

Role-Specific Requirements:

Position 1: Hands-on role supporting a large initiative within a specific business domain. Focus on applying business architecture principles to drive strategic outcomes.

Position 2 : Focused on establishing the Business Architecture tool and discipline. Involves foundational work, building maturity assessments, and setting up frameworks for the business architecture practice.

Additional Preferences:

Education: Master’s degree preferred, with 8-10 years of experience in business, technology, or consulting.

Mindset: Self-driven, experimental, and adaptable to address unique challenges collaboratively.
