About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Prompt Engineer to join our early team and help build the foundational product shaping the future of healthcare. As a Prompt Engineer at Lotus, you'll design, implement, and refine prompt systems, analyze user interactions, and optimize our AI prompts to deliver a transformative patient experience. You'll also be involved in strategic projects in developing agentic systems that redefine consumer healthcare.

This role is hybrid with competitive compensation and equity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and refine effective AI prompts and prompt systems
• Analyze user interactions to optimize prompt effectiveness and improve user outcomes
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including AI/ML researchers, clinicians, product designers, and software engineers
• Stay at the forefront of NLP and AI advancements to inform continuous innovation
• Participate in strategic initiatives and product development discussions

Qualifications

• Exceptional writing and literacy skills in English
• Proven experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with healthcare industry standards, data privacy, and regulations (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience working with large language models (LLMs)
• Previous contributions to consumer healthcare products or AI-driven applications
• Passion for leveraging technology to revolutionize healthcare and patient outcomes
