Project Traffic Engineer

Location: Canonsburg, PA

Are you a skilled Traffic Engineer ready to take your career to the next level?

We're looking for a diligent and talented Project Traffic/Transportation Engineer to join a fast growing team in the Pittsburgh, PA area. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage and contribute to exciting traffic and transportation projects, including traffic and parking studies, transportation planning, event management, and signal/roadway design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and perform traffic/transportation engineering planning and permitting for land development and infrastructure projects.
• Manage multiple projects within budget, schedule, and deadline parameters.
• Prepare reports, specifications, and design plans.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Provide mentorship and oversight to junior staff, including training and performance feedback.
• Support business development by attending client meetings and contributing to proposals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 6+ years of experience in road, intersection, and traffic signal design.
• Proficiency in HCS, SYNCHRO, and MUTCD. Knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus.
• Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for site visits and client meetings.
