Come join our growing team!! Blue Star Psychology & Consulting is a rewarding, growing practice currently booking 4-5 months out for testing services for adult clients. We are excited to have new opportunities for a LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST trained in testing/assessment with adult and older adult populations! Neuropsychology or Rehabilitation Psychology background is preferred.

 This position can be contract, part time, or full time, and is for testing services only (no counseling required) . If you have testing experience but need additional training to interact with these populations, we will provide training. **If you are currently pursuing licensure, you are still encouraged to apply**

About us-our practice offers neuropsychological assessment and counseling services to clients experiencing chronic medical and/or neurological issues including brain or spinal cord injury, stroke, cancer, seizure disorder, MS, Parkinson’s, dementia, diabetes, and related issues. Our goal is to provide a well-rounded experience for patients with testing for patients and counseling for both patients and caregivers. We engage with and sponsor local community organizations like the Dallas Area Parkinson’s Foundation, local cancer groups, and Collin County Psychological Association. We also foster growth in up and coming professionals with practicum placements for doctoral students.

The best candidate will be self sufficient, will collaborate well with team members, patients & and referral sources, and will seek consultation when necessary.

Tasks include:

• Intake evaluations, testing, and feedback sessions, report writing, and communication with families and referring providers.
• Intake and feedback sessions can be a hybrid of telehealth and in-office visits.
• You are welcome to work from home for report writing. We typically do not see patients on Fridays.
• Regular staff interaction, monthly team meetings (and fun staff events!)

Pay:

• Negotiable; compensated based on number of tests per week and part-time/full-time or contract status. Compensation is uncapped and can be 150,000+ per year, BUT we want you to have a good work-life balance!! You decide what is best for you!
• We have marketing in place and referrals from multiple physician resources to assist you in serving your desired number of clients.

Minimum qualifications:

• Licensed Psychologist- completion of a doctoral degree at an APA accredited program and licensure in the state of Texas, and a cumulative one year of experience testing with adults.
