Job Description

This role is remote, but the PM may need to travel to Jacksonville, FL quarterly and/or for critical project meetings.

Our client needs a Project Manager for key projects relating to banking and finances, fraud, and payments.

  1. Defining Project Scope, Objectives, and Deliverables:
    • Work with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, scope, and deliverables that support business goals.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans that outline tasks, timelines, resources, and key deliverables.
    • Ensure alignment of project objectives with organizational strategy and goals.
  2. Project Planning and Resource Allocation:
    • Develop detailed project plans, including task assignments, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Identify resource requirements and work with cross-functional teams to ensure resource availability and allocation.
    • Adjust plans and resources as needed to accommodate changes or unforeseen challenges.
  3. Risk Identification and Mitigation:
    • Proactively identify potential risks and issues that could impact project delivery.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruption.
    • Maintain a risk log and ensure regular risk assessment and communication with stakeholders.
  4. Monitoring Progress and Adherence to Schedules and Budgets:
    • Monitor project progress against the plan, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
    • Report and escalate issues as needed to ensure project milestones are met.
  5. Coordination and Communication with Stakeholders:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective communication.
    • Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and presentations to keep stakeholders informed.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement and Feedback:
    • Engage with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and successful project delivery.
  7. Lessons Learned and Future Improvements:
    • Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and identify areas for improvement.
    • Document findings and implement changes to improve future project management processes.
  8. Utilizing Clarity PPM or Similar Tools:
    • Leverage project management tools, such as Clarity PPM, to plan, track, and manage project progress.
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date project data is maintained within the project management tool.
    • Use data analytics and reporting tools to provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
    • Create Excel spreadsheets and use for analysis.
    • Create PowerPoint presentations that communicate issues, options and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably within a corporate environment.
  • Business Analysis skills.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Clarity PPM, MS Project).
  • Strong Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
