Intern – Strength & Conditioning | Utah Prep (Start Date: August 1 or earlier)
This is an unpaid or stipend based internship . Housing and meals may be offered for the right candidate. At the end of the internship, there may be an opportunity for employment with the program, based on performance and organizational needs.
While applications are welcome from all qualified candidates, we are particularly interested in interns based in Utah or the Las Vegas area due to proximity to campus and the potential for easier integration into the program.
Utah Prep Academy, an international college-preparatory boarding school located in Hurricane, Utah, is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Strength & Conditioning Intern to join its elite athletic program . Set against the backdrop of Zion National Park on a 55-acre campus, Utah Prep combines rigorous academics, championship-level sports, and intentional leadership development. Our mission is to launch future global leaders by equipping students with the tools, experience, and character necessary for long-term success.
This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with high-performing high school athletes. Reporting to the Head of Strength & Conditioning, the intern will play a key role in supporting daily strength and performance training for basketball and other athletic programs.
Responsibilities include assisting in program design and execution, facilitating warm-ups and weight room sessions, leading conditioning drills, tracking athlete performance metrics, and maintaining a safe and organized training environment. The intern will also observe and communicate with staff to report on athlete progress and support injury-prevention efforts.
Ideal candidates are currently studying or have recently graduated in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field. Applicants should demonstrate a strong understanding of weight room safety, sound exercise techniques, and effective athlete communication. A passion for sports performance and youth development is essential.
