Salary: $145,000 - $155,000

Summary:

Our client in the Energy sector is looking for an HRIS Manager – Global Systems and Strategy , who will be responsible for developing HR system strategy, ensuring adherence to regional, national, and international labor, tax, and data privacy laws, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced, acquisition-driven, and globally scaled environment. The HRIS Manager will guide the functional direction and operational integrity of PeopleSoft HCM, concentrating on Payroll, Benefits Administration, and General Ledger (GL). This role also manages enterprise readiness and the functional execution of the forthcoming Workday transformation. The ideal candidate will possess strong system leadership credentials, cross-functional collaboration abilities, and a proven history of executing HRIS transformations on a large scale. Demonstrating success with international deployments, multilingual support, and navigating matrixed organizations is crucial.

Duties:

  • Act as the primary functional leader for PeopleSoft HCM, taking responsibility for the configuration of Payroll, Benefits, GL, and Compensation.
  • Supervise the testing and implementation of PUM upgrades, along with configuration changes driven by regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that HRIS adheres to compliance standards such as SOX, HIPAA, ACA, GDPR, and various international labor and tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to facilitate system audit preparedness and provide precise, timely reporting.
  • Keep thorough documentation, which includes SOPs, configuration logs, and audit trails.
  • Direct the planning for Workday implementation, covering aspects like configuration, testing, data mapping, and execution of deployment.
  • Assist in global configuration that accommodates multilingual features and compliance needs specific to different regions.
  • Convert existing system logic into Workday architecture, focusing on eligibility, security, and integration strategies.
  • Oversee cross-functional HRIS projects that involve HR, IT, Payroll, Finance, and Talent departments.
  • Lead HRIS support for M&A onboarding processes, global entity launches, and integrations with vendor systems.
  • Spot opportunities for automation and workflow simplification, enhancing usability and efficiency.
  • Represent HRIS in strategic planning and governance discussions, shaping the system roadmap and enterprise priorities.
  • Guide and develop HRIS analysts, fostering capability enhancement and team involvement.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in HRIS, with 10+ years dedicated to a functional role in PeopleSoft HCM configuration, specifically concentrating on Payroll, Benefits, and GL.
  • 5+ years of experience in management or senior project delivery roles within large and complex organizations.
  • A proven track record of successfully leading numerous HCM implementations, including Workday and international/multilingual rollouts.
  • Possesses expert-level knowledge of U.S. payroll configuration, encompassing tax regulations, garnishments, off-cycle logic, and GL reconciliation.
  • Extensive experience in Benefits Administration, ACA compliance, open enrollment configuration, and eligibility logic.
  • A strong grasp of regulatory reporting requirements (SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, W-2, 1095-C) and compliance-driven system specifications. Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-wide, cross-functional projects that span HR, Finance, and IT.
  • Skilled in test planning, UAT execution, issue resolution, and providing deployment support.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation abilities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; active PMP certification and PeopleSoft/Workday certifications strongly preferred.
