Position: Formal Housekeeper

Location: Washington, DC

Schedule: 35–40 hours per week (Full-time, Monday–Friday)

Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience

Overview:

A private residence in Washington, DC is seeking a detail-oriented, professional, and discreet Housekeeper to provide high-level cleaning and household support. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a formal home environment and a deep understanding of how to care for fine furnishings, luxury surfaces, and high-end wardrobe items.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily housekeeping and deep cleaning of residence, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas
• Laundering, ironing, and wardrobe care, including proper handling of delicate and high-end fabrics
• Maintaining organization throughout the home, including closets, drawers, and pantries
• Polishing silver, caring for antiques, and ensuring proper upkeep of specialty surfaces (e.g., marble, hardwood, etc.)
• Running errands as needed (e.g., dry cleaning drop-off/pick-up, light grocery shopping)
• Inventory management of household supplies and restocking as necessary
• Occasional light meal prep or assistance in the kitchen
• Collaborating with other household staff or service providers as needed
• Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, discretion, and professionalism

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within a formal or UHNW household
• Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques and proper care for luxury finishes and items
• Trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of employer’s privacy
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Legal to work in the U.S. and fluent in English
