Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a system for managing office routines.
• Assist in planning, conducting, and evaluating projects.
• Monitor programs and projects.
• Maintain frequent contact with others outside the work group.
• Maintain technical expertise and procedural knowledge.
• Keep supervision advised of work in process.
• Assume operational assignments as a working member.
• Assist in the coordination of special or unusual projects.

Requirements:

• Must be enrolled at WKU with over 1 year until graduation.
• Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during school.
• May work up to 32 hours per week during school breaks (Summer, Winter, etc.).
• Strong computer, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and calendar management.
• Preference for students in their freshman or sophomore year.
• Obtaining a degree in Business Administration or an Engineering related degree.

Non-Negotiables:

• Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work first shift hours (6 AM - 4:30 PM CST), up to 32 hours per week, with a minimum of 20 hours.
• Business acumen to work with a team, with a 50-50 workload split between individual and team tasks.
• Degree in Business Administration, Engineering (preferably Electrical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering).
• Demonstrated work ethic through part-time jobs, summer work, family business, etc.
