REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of experience using basic mechanical and / or electronic hand tools
• 3+ years of experience manufacturing wire harnesses in the commercial or aerospace industry
• 3+ years of experience using electronic equipment - programmable power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes
• 3+ years of experience in a regulated production environment
• HS Diploma

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Previous or current qualifications in one of the following: NASA STD 8739.4 , IPC-620, J-STD-001
• Experience with soldering PCBAs, including soldering in tight spaces such as 0402 packages and high-density ICs, installing jumpers, and performing debugging
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as SVN, Confluence, and JIRA
• Skills in project management

JOB DESCRIPTION

A large aerospace company headquartered in Long Beach is looking for an Avionics Harness Technician to play a crucial role in the development of systems for space stations. Their responsibilities include:

• Constructing wire cables: Building and assembling wire harnesses that are essential for the spacecraft's electronic systems

• PCB assembly rework: Performing rework on printed circuit boards (PCBs) to ensure they meet the required specifications

• Collaborating with engineering: Working closely with engineers to understand and implement cable wiring diagrams and electronic components

• Testing systems: Conducting tests on the assembled systems to ensure they function correctly and meet safety standards

• Developing manufacturing processes: Enhancing operational efficiency by developing and refining manufacturing processes

Ensure the reliability and safety of the space station avionics system

$34-40/hour
