About the role
The primary responsibilities are overseeing AP and supporting the payroll function. This position reports to the Senior Accountant and plays a crucial role in helping the department run smoothly.
Responsibilities
· Oversee the AP function
· Support the Payroll function.
· Administrative tasks like answering phones, ordering supplies, etc
· Work closely with and support other team members of the department/company.
Location & commitments
· The position is located in San Jose, California
· Full-time, open to part time
· This is an in-office position. No remote work.
· Morning/Daytime shift, with some flexibility on the hours.
Candidate requirements
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) – Highly desirable.
· Experience with QuickBooks, preferably the Enterprise Contractors edition - Highly desirable.
· Prior construction experience with job costing – Desirable
· Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner.
· A degree in Accounting or Finance is desirable but we would consider someone without a degree that has relevant work experience if they are the right fit.
· Detail-orientated, reliable, ability to multi-task.
· Takes initiative.
Compensation
· Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education. (~$25-$34/hour with the potential for bonus)
· Health Insurance (100% for employee) after 30 days.
· 401K after 1 year of service.
