Warehouse Supervisor

Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a manufacturer in Wytheville, VA who is looking to add a Warehouse Supervisor to their team . We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor with a strong background in manufacturing, inventory management, and customer logistics. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring optimal stock levels, efficient order fulfillment, and streamlined logistics operations to meet customer demands and company goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, and a deep understanding of managing inventory flow and logistics in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead warehouse staff, ensuring smooth daily operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products.
• Oversee inventory management processes, ensuring accurate tracking, proper storage, and timely replenishment of stock in line with production schedules and customer orders.
• Coordinate with manufacturing teams to maintain proper stock levels and ensure timely delivery of materials for production.
• Implement inventory control procedures and systems to minimize stock discrepancies and improve efficiency.
• Manage customer logistics, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders and managing the return and exchange processes effectively.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, warehouse policies, and industry standards.
• Develop and monitor performance metrics to assess warehouse efficiency, staff productivity, and inventory accuracy.
• Prepare and maintain regular reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, order fulfillment, and shipping timelines.
• Train and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Collaborate with the purchasing, production, and logistics teams to optimize workflows and resolve issues related to inventory and shipping.
• Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes to reduce costs, improve delivery times, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in warehouse supervision, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong background in inventory management and logistics, with a deep understanding of supply chain processes.
• Experience with inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Ability to analyze data and generate reports to monitor warehouse performance and make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations within warehouse and logistics environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
