Sr. Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist

Our successful Manchester, NH client is seeking a Sr. Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist for their team. If you’re passionate about safety, compliance, and making a positive impact, then please consider this full-time, direct-hire role.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist

Evaluate work locations for safety and environmental risks
Conduct routine safety/environmental checks and inspections
Develop recommendations for improvement based on observations
Provide guidance to engineering and R&D departments for new projects
Develop and conduct employee training
Prepare and file reports
Perform accident investigations and identify root cause(s)
Manage Workers Compensation program
Manage hazardous waste programs for full quantity generators
Provide guidance for shipping hazardous materials
Ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications of the Sr. Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist

Bachelor’s degree in environmental and safety-related field plus 7-10 years of direct EHS experience in a manufacturing setting
Strong understanding of chemical hazards
Thorough understanding of OSHA and EPA/NHDES regulations
Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish a plus
Acute attention to detail and good problem-solving abilities
Strong organizational and time management skills
Comfortable presenting training to large groups
Must be able to travel between Manchester and Bow, NH
