Job Description

Position Summary: The Sr Demand Planning Manager will be accountable and responsible for developing and maintaining forecasts on all finished goods SKUs while ensuring the output of our forecasts ties out to our monthly sales goals by brand.

Position Scope: This position will work closely with sales, marketing, supply planning, distribution, and production to help inform the forecast as well as keep others informed of upcoming forecast changes. This role will serve as the lead during the demand planning S&OP meetings.

Position Responsibility:

  • Lead the demand planning S&OP monthly meetings, taking the team through prior month forecast accuracy, changes to current forecast, and future forecast $s by month.
  • Responsible for creating the SKU level forecast across all three company brands.
  • Drive improvements to the current forecasting process as per past performance varying the forecasting method by SKU as necessary.
  • Maintain frequent communication with the sales team to understand the high and low months on avSKU by SKU basis.
  • Partner with the sales team to determine which new item sell ins are added into the forecast and which one are left out.
  • Partner with the marketing team to identify products over and under performing in the market and adjust the demand plan as necessary.
  • Determine when we transition from the marketing provided new item forecast to our statical forecast.
  • Perform root cause analysis for top over and under forecasts by brand by month.
  • Own demand planning portion of ERP system implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of experience in a demand planning environment
  • Prior experience with S&OP
  • Ability to work without direct supervision to solve day-to-day issues and know when to escalate to Management.
  • Comfortability with developing reports and processes from scratch.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/related discipline or seven (7) years experience.
  • Prior experience within the pharmaceutical/nutraceutical industry preferred.
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Strong computer skills (ERP/MRP systems, MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking abilities, and detail and deadline orientation.
  • APICS Certification preferred
