Job Description

Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking highly experienced and energetic Software Engineers to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer, the Software Engineer is responsible for responsive and coherent planning, development, and delivery of PARCS and UEWR assessment of systems and networks within the environments to identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This position will be a hybrid opportunity with onsite support as required by the customer at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. Candidates must be located physically in the Colorado Springs, CO area or surrounding areas.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for code development and code deployment for the software version releases which modifies the software baseline of the BMEWS/PAVE PAWS ground-based radar sensors.
    • Designing, developing, documenting, testing and debugging application software.
    • Conducting analysis and collaborating with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting.
    • Ability to support system integration, test, development, and execution of various types of complex systems.
    • Developing technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
    • Participating in troubleshooting systems to resolve complex issues, interact, and coordinate with engineers responsible for sustaining operational and test systems.

Mid-level Software Engineer: 

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelors and five plus (5+) years’ experience; Masters and three plus (3+) years’ experience; PhD or JD and zero plus (0+) years’ experience.
    • Experience developing software with C/C++, Java, Python and FORTRAN
    • Experience in Agile development methodologies
    • US Citizen and an active Secret security clearance
  •  Desired Qualifications:
    • Experience with real-time embedded software for ground-based radar
    • Experience leading agile software development teams
    • Experience as a Scrum Master
    • Experience as a Product Owner
    • Experience sustaining PARCS, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS AND UEWR
    • Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise

Senior Software Engineer:

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelors and nine plus (9+) years’ experience; Masters and seven plus (7+) years’ experience; PhD or JD and four plus (4+) years’ experience.
    • Experience developing software with C/C++, Java, Python and FORTRAN
    • Experience in Agile development methodologies
    • US Citizen and an active Secret security clearance
  •  Desired Qualifications:
    • Experience with real-time embedded software for ground-based radar
    • Experience leading agile software development teams
    • Experience as a Scrum Master

This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO. The estimated salary range for these positions are:
Mid - $110,000.00 - $130,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset
Senior - $150,000.00 - $170,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset
