Job Type: Full-time | Location: Travel-based Field Service Technician – Locomotive Maintenance
A growing rail services company is seeking Field Service Technicians for locomotive inspection, troubleshooting, and repairs. Crews will travel to multiple locations within a 700-mile radius of Kansas City, KS. We are hiring a Crew Leader (4–5 years locomotive experience required). Travel: Required to customer sites across OK, TX, NM, IN, NE.
Key Responsibilities: • Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic locomotive systems. • Perform diagnostics and document work per FRA and company guidelines. • Install components and ensure operational compliance. • Use tools such as voltmeters, gauges, and welding equipment. • Communicate clearly with team members and customers.
Qualifications: • Locomotive maintenance or repair experience required. • Familiarity with diesel engines, schematics, and FRA rules. • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. • Ability to travel and work independently in the field.
