Job Description

Job Summary:

The Clinical Research Investigator is an integral member of the clinical research team, responsible for acting as or assisting the Principal Investigator (PI) in the planning, implementation, and coordination of clinical trials. The investigator contributes to the successful conduct of research studies, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and maintaining the highest ethical standards. A Clinical Research Investigator plays a crucial role in the execution of clinical trials and studies within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Principal Investigator and/or Sub-Investigator on psychiatric and medical studies
  • PI oversight on applicable studies
  • Completing participant visits for research studies
  • Administering research scales to participants (e.g. MINI, MADRS, HAM-A, HAM-D17,C-SSRS)
  • Calling potential patients to complete psychiatric assessment and determine eligibility for a study
  • Review of lab work, vitals, and ECG
  • Physical examinations
  • Coordination of study protocols under the direction of the Principal Investigator
  • Communicating with sponsors and meeting sponsor demands
  • Traveling for new study start-up up to 4x/year

Skills/Abilities:

  • Means and ability to commute to both offices in Media, PA and West Chester, PA
  • Previous clinical research experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Calm under pressure and capable of solving sudden problems that may not have clear answers or readily available resources
  • Proficient in navigating unfamiliar technology and programs independently and adeptly such as site CTMS
  • Personable
  • Effective communicator who can cooperate as a member of a team
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently within a hierarchy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite
  • Clinical Research experience preferred

Education and Experience:

  • Must have active Medical License in Pennsylvania
  • Clinical Research experience preferred
