We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a talented and caring Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join a dedicated multidisciplinary group. The successful candidate will serve a vital function in the Department of Psychiatry & Psychology at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, WI, providing outpatient care to our patients.
The Department of Psychiatry & Psychology in Southwest Wisconsin is a growing and robust interdisciplinary team comprised of 3 general psychiatrists, 2 child & adolescent psychiatrists, 5 clinical psychologists, 2 neuropsychologists, 6 nurses, 25 masters-prepared therapists, and 4 case managers. Together, this group provides evidence-based diagnostic and treatment interventions to adults struggling with mental health disorders.
La Crosse, WI, is a city of 52,000 with a metro area of 120,000 in the Upper Mississippi River Valley, located between Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, and Madison, WI. The area offers unlimited, four-season recreational opportunities (biking, golf, hiking the bluffs and cross-country/downhill skiing). We have a great family environment with safe and high-quality schools, including two universities and a technical college. There are sport events, a local symphony orchestra, theaters, children's museum, and a civic center.

Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current WI RN and APRN license and certification as a PMHNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the WI State Board of Medical Practice. Psych certification preferred.
Current BLS certification and DEA required.
Additional Qualifications:
Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills. Demonstrated leadership ability. Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient and staff needs. Ability to manage time and stress effectively and adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.
