Seattle, WA or Baltimore, MD | $85,000 - $125,000 | Full-Time | Signing Bonus Available!

What You’ll Do

Engineering & Design:

  • Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system designs that align with industry codes.
  • Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and support construction coordination.

Project Coordination & Management:

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and fellow engineers to align design objectives.
  • Assist with project scheduling and budget management.
  • Ensure all designs meet quality assurance and regulatory standards.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design reviews.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients, contractors, and vendors.

Compliance & Innovation:

  • Stay current on industry codes (IEC, IBC, IMC) and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure all designs meet local agency regulations and sustainability goals.

What You Bring to the Team

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. PE license strongly preferred.

Experience: 3-8 years in mechanical, plumbing, or related engineering fields.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Bluebeam.
  • Experience with CAD, Revit, or other design software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Construction Standards Institute (CSI) specification format

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

Work Environment & Perks

  • Minimal travel required
  • Hybrid Work Schedule: 44 hours per week. In office Monday and Tuesdays each week and two additional days of your choice each month, the other days can be remote.
