The Junior Graphic Designer will report to the Creative Lead in the Office of Communications in producing digital and print assets.
Responsibilities
• Help design various promotional materials for marketing, such as event invitations, annual reports, event materials and signs, brochures, postcards, flyers, newsletters, social media posts, etc.
• Provide content for the school's social media platforms
• Meet and consult with various teams regarding design needs and prepare content for internal use
• Coordinate with team members to gather information, images, logos, stats, and content to use in various projects
• Maintain proper organization of photos, design elements
• Work with third-party vendors in building out fundraising landing pages and websites
Requirements and Skills
• Must be incredibly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Spark, Acrobat, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Must have a solid understanding of social media channels, including designing content, building and executing strategies, and reviewing data, metrics, and analytics
• Working knowledge of other platforms such as Canva and Microsoft Office a plus
• Must have knowledge of Pantone Matching and Hex Color systems
• Knowledge of basic printing and spot color separation a plus
• Ability to scan images and documents
• Must be proficient with photo editing
• Must have an understanding of digital advertising tactics
• Must be willing to work on a variety of projects, from basic to high-level
• Ability to pivot if design needs change
• Willing to use branding requirements, and have the ability to research and recommend new ideas to strengthen and expand identity and brand
• Have a quality sense of layout and composition
• Willingness to take initiative with a creative approach
• Must be knowledgeable of design trends
• Have a working knowledge of website Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have a working knowledge of photography
• Organization and technical skills are a must
• BS or BFA in marketing, design, or related fields a plus
