Job Description

Do you enjoy breaking things to make them better? We’re looking for a Test Engineer to lead quality assurance efforts for our flagship product, Teleseer. You’ll work with developers and other stakeholders to ensure that every piece of the application functions seamlessly, identifying edge cases and implementing robust testing strategies that leave no stone unturned.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain testing strategies for frontend and backend systems.
  • Develop automated test suites for unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
  • Work closely with developers to identify potential edge cases and ensure the testability of features early in the development cycle.
  • Perform exploratory and manual testing to identify gaps in automation and uncover hard-to-reach issues.
  • Test APIs, workflows, and data pipelines to validate interactions and ensure consistent functionality across systems.
  • Debug issues in collaboration with developers, providing detailed and reproducible bug reports.
  • Monitor and maintain test execution pipelines as part of the CI/CD process, ensuring tests run efficiently and reliably.
  • Analyze test results, identify patterns, and suggest improvements to enhance system reliability and user experience.
  • Advocate for quality best practices within the development team and continuously improve testing processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years regular work experience using technical, interactive web applications having multiple users, functions, and views
  • A systematic approach to exploratory and manual testing of  computers or other systems , uncovering edge cases and rare failure modes. (we can test this in interview)
  • Ability to carefully follow detailed, written scripts, checklists, or instructions
  • Familiarity with automated computer systems (RPA, CI/CD, macros, computer programs) 
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills, with the ability to isolate, document, and communicate issues effectively
  • Ability to write technical documentation and record results and metrics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an exception attention to detail

Preferred

  • Hold or be open to attaining a Top-Secret security clearance.
  • One or more years of experience in software testing, with expertise in designing and executing tests for complex, distributed systems.
  • Strong knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks for front-end and back-end testing.
  • Experience creating and maintaining automated test suites for unit, integration, and system-level testing.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing, including validation of RESTful services and data flows.
