Job Description

What You’ll Do :

These Instructor Trainer contractor positions are part of the Administrative Applications Grants Management System team and will be working to develop, implement, and provide role and scenario-based training materials (written, recorded, and in person) for the purposes of end users, external users, and administrators of the enterprise Grants Management System (GMS) in Salesforce. These positions will perform Instructor Trainer duties that will involve the creation of both written and recorded webinar training materials for agency and external users. These positions may be required to provide in-person training to system users, based on needs of the agency.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, conduct, and evaluate technical training programs for diverse audiences.
  • Write and maintain literature, instructional materials, and exercises to support course delivery.
  • Deliver training both on-site and via web-based platforms , covering commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products, in-house IT solutions, and desktop support tools.
  • Lead the development of infrastructure for training and information delivery systems.
  • Create instructor materials such as course outlines, background content, and training aids.
  • Design and deliver training for tools like Remote Access Systems (RAS) and other end-user technologies.
  • Assist in formatting and refining training content developed by other DIR staff as needed.
  • Identify and assess customer training needs; develop and execute plans to meet them.
  • Assist in designing computer-based, multimedia, and simulator-driven curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver a variety of training formats: classroom-based, e-learning, multimedia, and hybrid methods.
  • Manage training programs in alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements , and the Quality Management System (QMS) .
  • Support staff in productivity reporting within and outside of the agency.
  • Research and recommend vendors, training materials, and cost-effective delivery options (e.g., external classes, books, web-based tools).
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and instructional media to improve learning outcomes.
  • Use computers and instructional design tools to build effective curriculum and integrated learning visuals.
  • Teach short technical courses regularly to ensure continued instructor proficiency and update instructional methods.
  • Incorporate new curriculum updates and provide real-world applications to enhance learning effectiveness.
  • Maintain classroom management techniques that encourage professionalism, engagement, and discipline.
  • Develop alternative teaching methods and scenarios to sustain learner motivation and interest.
  • Act as a Testing Officer , conducting test analysis and developing or revising assessment items.
