Field Service Manager – Lancaster, CA
Location: Somewhere near Lancaster (or willing to pretend Lancaster is where you want to be) Level: Manager of Getting Stuff Done™
Department: Customer Service Salary: Up to $125,000 per year (because you're worth it — and because we need someone seriously good)
Who We Are: We’re not your average mega-corporation (even though, technically, we’re a global technology powerhouse). We build electric vehicles and lithium iron phosphate batteries — fancy name for "stuff that makes the world less dependent on fossil fuels." We’ve got a startup vibe in North America, so if you’re allergic to slow processes and endless meetings — you’ll love it here.
Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It):
• Be the Customer Whisperer — the main voice between our customers and the Customer Service Department.
• Lead a crew of Field Service Techs and Supervisors like a rockstar band manager (minus the glitter).
• Build and improve the way our service team actually works — not just “manage” them.
• Set goals, run reviews, coach, cheerlead, and occasionally kick butt (with kindness).
• Make sure the team knows the rules and actually follows them.
• Train the squad, spot the gaps, and keep them ahead of the curve.
• Turn customers into brand ambassadors.
• Hire smart people, fire bad attitudes.
• Keep an eye on costs, resources, time sheets, and those sneaky “miscellaneous expenses.”
• Collaborate with other teams without throwing things (even if you want to).
• Get hands-on with resource planning and managing technician workloads.
• Solve customer issues faster than they can tweet about them.
• Collect feedback — the good, the bad, and the “oh hell no” — and turn it into action.
• Obsess over safety (OSHA loves us and so will you).
What You’ll Need:
• Leadership skills that make people want to follow you into battle (or at least into Lancaster).
• You actually like working with customers (no, seriously).
• Experience running field operations — not your first rodeo.
• Fluent in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook — if you still print emails, this isn’t for you.
• Valid driver's license — you're going places. Literally.
• You can travel. A lot. Sometimes with very little notice.
• Ability to work under pressure without becoming a cautionary tale.
Bonus points if you:
• Have a commercial driver's license (we'll like you even more).
• Know the difference between leadership and micromanagement.
• Can survive and thrive in a startup-style environment (read: organized chaos).
Perks (Besides Changing the World):
• Up to $125,000 per year.
• Startup feel, global scale — best of both worlds.
• You’ll help us make history (or at least some really cool EVs).
• Growth potential: if you crush it here, the sky’s the limit.
If you’re looking for a "coast and collect paycheck" kind of job, this ain’t it. If you want to make an impact, work with passionate people, and never be bored — welcome to your new home.
