Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Factory Product Specialist position is responsible for supporting customers with service and parts orders and troubleshooting equipment issues. Located in St. Martin, Minnesota and reports to the Customer Service Supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with customers to clarify exact requirements of all parts and service orders.
  • Support customers in solving parts and service issues with Rotochopper equipment.
  • Provide ideas to support and improve the customer call center efforts.
  • Accountable for resolving any issues, equipment or otherwise.
  • Be the authority on features, benefits, and performance characteristics of all products.
  • Assist with the creation and building of Rotochopper parts and service training and manuals.
  • Develop processes that positively impact the department and provide growth opportunities.

CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Expert level of knowledge of all the features, benefits, and performance characteristics of Rotochopper product line.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and strong negotiating skills.
  • Electrical system, mechanical and drivetrain, hydraulic system and diesel engine diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must have good mathematical skills with good business acumen.
  • Must have an enthusiastic, personable phone presence.
  • Self-driven and works collaboratively with others.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and must be very comfortable in a high-paced environment where multi-tasking is the norm.
  • Must be respectful, and always keeps a professional demeanor, capable of managing conflict.
  • Must be a results-oriented individual with a clear focus getting the job done.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electronic units.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with Excel, Word required, and NetSuite preferred.
  • Ability to exhibit Rotochopper’s values of fairness, generosity, and harmony.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years or more of customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow intermediate measurements, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Class A CDL is preferred or must have the ability to obtain or carry Class A CDL and DOT health card, with a clean driving record.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Working conditions include office and professional as well as work including industrial environments as well as outside temperatures and all-weather conditions.
  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time to customer sites.
