$120,000 - $145,000

Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturer with operations across several locations, is seeking a highly experienced Director of Operations to lead and optimize their production, logistics, and supply chain functions. This is a strategic leadership role ideal for a results-driven professional with a strong background in multi-site manufacturing and operational excellence.

Position Summary

The Director of Operations will oversee all aspects of production and operations management across multiple facilities. This includes warehousing, logistics, procurement, supply chain analytics, and staffing. The role requires regular travel to operational sites to ensure consistency, performance, and alignment with company standards and goals.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations Management

  • Lead manufacturing and warehouse operations across multiple sites.
  • Standardize and optimize production processes (lamination, perforation, leather sets, boards).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Supply Chain & Procurement

  • Oversee raw material purchasing and supplier negotiations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) controls.
  • Lead weekly planning meetings to align procurement with production needs.

Logistics & Distribution

  • Manage inbound logistics and international shipping from Europe and South America.
  • Optimize warehouse operations and oversee site leasing and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of finished goods.

Team Leadership

  • Collaborate with HR and executive leadership on workforce planning.
  • Lead hiring, training, and performance management for operations staff.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing, logistics, and customer service teams.

Strategic Growth & Innovation

  • Lead multi-site expansion initiatives and implement technology upgrades.
  • Champion sustainability and eco-friendly production practices.
  • Conduct site audits and performance reviews to ensure operational consistency and excellence.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial {preferred}), Logistics, or Operations Management.
  • 5–10 years of experience in multi-site production and logistics leadership.
  • 20+ years managing teams in manufacturing and operations environments.
  • Strong expertise in warehouse operations, inventory management, and SAP.
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to operational sites.

Travel: Required to multiple U.S. locations
