Location: Roxboro, North Carolina, 27573

Level: Senior Leadership

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our senior leadership team in Roxboro, NC. This newly established role offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead the nursing department in a forward-thinking healthcare setting.

Position Overview:

The Director of Nursing will oversee daily nursing operations, ensure delivery of high-quality patient care, and provide strong leadership to the nursing team. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, operational leadership, and a compassionate, team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all nursing services
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards
  • Foster a culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Recruit, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, promoting professional growth
  • Collaborate across departments to enhance patient care and operational efficiency
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to drive positive outcomes
  • Manage departmental budget and resource allocation effectively
  • Lead confidently in high-stress and emergency situations

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact State – Required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required
  • BLS Certification (AHA) – Required upon hire
  • Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role – Required
  • Strong decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
  • Previous experience as a DON or in a nursing leadership role in acute or long-term care settings
