The County of Maui is seeking outstanding and dedicated Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys to represent our Community in criminal matters. The department is seeking applicants for entry-level positions as well as experienced litigators. Highly competitive salary commensurate with years of experience. Entry-level salary starts at $122,315 and top candidates licensed for nine years or more (in any jurisdiction) start at $213,466 per year. Pursuant to Rule 1 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Hawaii (as amended on June 18, 2025), license reciprocity for Qualified Government Attorneys is NOW AVAILABLE to attorneys admitted to practice by the highest court of another state, the District of Columbia, or a territory of the United States, and whose license to practice in that jurisdiction is active, who is a graduate of a law school approved by the American Bar Association Council on Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar, and who is in good standing in every jurisdiction where the attorney is licensed.
