Job Description

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Data Analyst to join their team! This position is located in Indianapolis, and is responsible for consolidating and disseminating weekly (and potentially daily) updates of company registration data from multiple systems, distilling insights into executive-level presentations illustrating trends and providing comprehensive analysis.

Duties:

  • Develop and improve forecast models for events
  • Analyze and refine existing Microsoft Excel models for trending and forecasting, enhancing methodologies
  • Ensure accurate data flow between database systems and develop a repeatable process to maintain accuracy
  • Monitor registration data to keep key business stakeholders informed on registration trends
  • Build, maintain, update, and optimize critical dashboards in the CRM system for marketing and sales stakeholders
  • Assist in developing executive-level presentations with concise analyses of critical conference statistics
  • Contribute to the framework for global events reporting standards, including refining processes and critical metric definitions
  • Provide analysis and develop executive briefings for all global events
  • Extract data and conduct analyses to address business questions on demographics, trends, forecasting, and other key variables
  • Monitor Chatter posts in groups and provide relevant answers and information
  • Collaborate with Sales Account Executives and Sales Management to address inquiries regarding dashboards and registration data
  • Assist in developing a comprehensive model for allocating regional pass sales quotas

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience as a data analyst or in a similar role
  • Expertise in Excel, including integrating disparate information, building forecast and trending models, creating comprehensive charts, working with pivot tables, using VLOOKUP and other data analysis formulas, and identifying critical data trends
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to distill data analysis, insights, and key findings into executive-level presentations
  • Experience with Business Objects and other Business Intelligence tools
  • Proven ability to identify business data needs, conduct detailed and insightful analysis, and develop reports that drive business results
  • Ability to analyze partial information and provide meaningful insights
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Understanding of business operations and the ability to anticipate data needs
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with changing requirements and priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management
