Job Description

The role: General Superintendent

Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee all on-site construction activities from cradle to grave, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, laborers, and other construction personnel.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of construction.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed, creating a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project costs and manage resources efficiently to stay within budget.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team, clients, architects, and other stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on project progress to senior management.

About the Project: A high-end, $60 million 80 unit luxury condominium project in Miami.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role overseeing large-scale residential or commercial projects. (Over $60 Million as the Lead or General Superintendent)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Certifications: OSHA certification and other relevant safety certifications are a plus.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
