Position Summary
Gustave A. Larson Company is the Midwest, Plains, and Mountain States leading wholesale distributor of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR) equipment, parts, and supplies. Our business philosophy is to focus on serving the needs of our customers, with a value-added, professional and enthusiastic attitude. The Warehouse Attendant/Driver reports to and is under the direction of the Distribution Supervisor.
Gustave A Larson Co. is a wholesale HVAC company with an in house truck network. Our trucks are not “for hire”. We only haul our own products. The purpose of our Class A truck network is to distribute our products between our branches in the West region.
Primary Responsibilities
• Transport and deliver parts and equipment to our own stores, as part of our in house distribution network.
• Safely operate an assortment of standard warehouse type forklift equipment.
• Load and unload trucks and trailers to maximize space and ensure safety without damage to products.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned
• Most rig run shifts are 3am – 3pm 4 days a week. Road expenses reimbursed. Late model equipment leased and fueled through Penske.
Qualification Requirements
• Commitment to excellent customer service
• Excellent communication skills, receptive to direct supervision
• Proactive, ability to work independently and execute job duties with minimal supervision
• Requires an ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Intermittent periods of physical exertion are required (i.e. walking, standing, and stooping)
• Organized, detail, and goal-oriented. Excels in a fast-paced environment
• Effective Team Player, cooperates and interacts well with customers and members of Gustave A. Larson Company
• Full-Time position
Education/Experience
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Class A CDL with Hazmat Endorsement. We would be willing to train the right person.
• 2 years experience in warehousing preferred.
• Forklift certified (Willing to train)
• Basic computer skills
• Clear driving record. Current DMV report will be reviewed
