Onward Search is actively seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a dedicated team of professionals at a school in El Paso County, CO . with an immediate start. This full-time, in-person position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of students by implementing occupational therapy interventions. Details You Should Know: Location: In-person only (no hybrid/virtual options) Schedule: 7:30am - 3:30pm Hours: 32.5 hours/week Student Age/Grade Level: Elementary - High School Key Responsibilities: Assist the Occupational Therapist in planning and implementing individualized treatment programs for students. Work directly with students to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and functional independence. Support classroom accommodations and modifications to promote student success. Monitor and document student progress, reporting updates to the OT and school staff. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure therapy goals align with educational objectives. Adapt therapy activities to meet the diverse needs of students across multiple school sites. Qualifications: Colorado Occupational Therapy Assistant License from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) National Certification as a COTA (NBCOT certification) CDE State Licensure required Prior experience working with school-aged children, particularly in a school or pediatric setting, is preferred.
