Anticipated hiring: August 13, 2025

Westminster School, one of the leading small independent boarding schools in the country, is a diverse, co-educational high school, a close-knit community of 95 faculty and 412 students (75 percent boarding, 25 percent day students) set on a 200-acre campus in Simsbury, Connecticut.  Since its founding in 1888, Westminster School has been committed to the core values of community, character, balance, and involvement.  Our motto – virtute et numine – by grit and grace – defines and distinguishes the Westminster experience, our community, and our alumni.

This position will include full-time teaching responsibilities in the science department and extracurricular coaching involvement. Applicants should expect to be involved in all aspects of school life through service as a faculty advisor, weekend duties, and other responsibilities as needed. 

A bachelor’s degree is required. The successful candidate will have a strong background in biology/chemistry and a commitment to boarding school life. Salary is competitive; the employment package includes excellent benefits and housing.
