Job Title: Assistant HVAC Project Manager

Location: Orange, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant HVAC Project Manager to support our growing team in Orange, CA. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC-related experience who want to grow their commercial HVAC project management career. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful execution of HVAC projects by assisting with planning, coordination, and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the HVAC Project Manager in coordinating and managing commercial HVAC projects from start to finish.
• Assist in project scheduling, budgeting, and document control.
• Help track project progress, monitor deadlines, and maintain detailed project records.
• Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to support procurement and logistics.
• Review and assist with project drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Use project management tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, and MS Project to manage workflow and documentation.
• Attend job site meetings and assist with quality control and safety compliance.
• Help ensure all work meets company standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant HVAC/project management experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in HVAC, construction, or mechanical project support.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, MS Project, and Procore is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Must be local to Orange, CA, or able to commute reliably.
