Job Description

The Axel Group is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our client’s team out of Palm Beach County, Florida. This reputable architecture firm provides building design services spanning multiple specialties. The firm’s projects range from complex multi-use municipal facilities to public agencies, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and corporate and retail spaces.

The Architectural Designer will be responsible for creating detailed and precise architectural plans, technical drawings, and construction documents. The role requires a keen understanding of production processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work within set timelines. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure the seamless execution of designs from concept through to construction.

  • Develop detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction documents.
  • Translate design concepts into clear, accurate production drawings.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure drawings meet specifications and building codes.
  • Conduct material research and selection, ensuring compatibility with production requirements.
  • Review and revise plans based on client and project feedback.
  • Work with architects and engineers to resolve design challenges during the production phase.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, or a related field required
  • 3-7+ years of architectural design experience required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required
  • Experience working on public projects, I.E. municipal, county, state, federal, etc., not required but preferred
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and building codes
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
