Addison Group is assisting a growing manufacturer based in Renton, WA who is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to join their team. This position plays a key leadership role in overseeing the accounts payable function, leading a team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and upholding internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable team, including supervising staff, setting performance goals, and providing coaching and development.
• Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice verification, approvals, payment processing, and expense report auditing.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices in accordance with company policy and contractual terms.
• Maintain and improve AP systems and processes to support efficiency, scalability, and internal controls.
• Develop and implement AP policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with procurement, receiving, and other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve workflow.
• Reconcile AP accounts and support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze AP reports and metrics for senior management.
• Assist with audits, including providing documentation and responding to inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in accounts payable or accounting.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AP best practices, ERP systems, and relevant financial regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead a team, manage deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Our client offers:

$120,000 to $130,000 base salary range dependent on experience.
